Day 01 : Tehran

Airport Transfer , Hotel Check in 

Arrival at IKA International airport, we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have time to rest and relax before our morning tour of Tehran begins.

Day 02: Tehran

Sightseeing:  Iran National Museum , Golestan Palace , Tajrish Bazaar and Darband

In the morning we take the subway and charter taxis so that we make most of the day and visit as many sites as possible. As a result, we will have a much better chance to get more acquainted with Iranian people. We leave the hotel at 9:30 for a trip to the Iran National Museum which ,here we will get a chance to see a variety of Persian Civilizations and cultures during different ages and become familiar with Iranian history. Then we pay a visit to Golestan Palace. Golestan Palace is a masterpiece of the Qajar era, embodying the successful integration of earlier Persian crafts and architecture with Western influences. This amazing Palace in 2003 was designated a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Afterward we will visit Tajrish Bazaar and Darband, a cute village in the mountains north of Tehran. Overnight in Tehran.

Day 03 : Goosfandsara BC (3100 m ) 

Drive to Rineh Village, Transfer to Basecamp (3100m), Acclimatization trek up to 3700m

You will be greeted by your Damavand trekking tour guide and be picked up from your hotel. After having breakfast, our journey begins with a 3 hour drive ( 100 kilometers ) from Tehran ( Hotel ) to Rineh ( 2200m high), A small village located at east of Tehran. We will have lunch (delicious homemade food) at a guest house in Rineh, where we can leave our extra baggage. After buying everything we need we head to the Southern Base camp of Mount Damavand (3100 meters, 45 minutes away).

The southern Base camp is called The Mosque or Goosfandsara (meaning a place for sheep) as it used to be where local shepherds brought their flocks before trekking Mount Damavand became popular. We begin our acclimatization process at 4 o clock and after settling down in our tents. The process consists of a two hour trek up to 3700 meters. After descending to Goosfandsara (taking 1 hour), we end the day by having dinner and getting a good night’s sleep in private tents or rooms (as preferred)

Day 04 : Bargah-e Sevom 4200m

Trek to Bargah-e Sevom (Damavand southern shelter at 4200m), Acclimatization trek up to 4700m

We get up at 7 and hand our baggages to the porters. Later at 8 we start a 4 hour trek to Bargah E Sevom hut (4200 m high), taking a normal and technically easy trekking route. After settling in our tents/rooms, having a light lunch to avoid issues due to elevation gain, drinking water to stay hydrated and getting some rest, we begin the second acclimatization trek at 3 o clock. The process involves a 2 hour trek during which we’ll reach 4700 meters and descending to the hut takes about 1 hour.

Afterwards, we have dinner at 7. Our meal should be rich in carbohydrates, like pasta, to provide us with enough energy. At last, we go to bed at 8 as we’ll have to get up at 5 the following day.

Day 05 : Damavand Summit (5610) 

Trek to Damavand Summit (5671m), descend to Basecamp, transfer to the village, and rejuvenate in hot spring pool

The day we’ve been waiting for finally arrives. It’s time to conquer the most prominent peak in Iran and the Middle East and it will only take 6 hours (elevation gain: 1460 m). We get up at 4 and after having breakfast we leave the hut at 5. Our route to the peak doesn’t have technical difficulties. We start trekking from the right ridge of the mountain and continue on this path until we reach Abshar E Yakhi (Damavand ice wall).

We continue our journey on the left route until we reach the triangular rock (almost 5350), which is where we start seeing sulfuric hills. At this point we’re only one hour of trekking away from conquering Damavand’s magnificent peak. Standing on the peak, we can enjoy the beautiful landscape and if we’re lucky enough to be there on a cloudless day  we can see the Caspian Sea and other peaks in Alborz mountain range. After making this day timeless by taking photos we start descending back to Bargah E Sevom around noon. The route is easier than our ascending route and it’ll take us 3 hours to get to the hut.

After resting and eating at the hut we descend back to Goosfandsara in two hours and take the SUV cars to Rineh village.  Afterwards, we take our swimming suits and head to Larijan village to experience the hot spring pool and lamb Kebab that it’s famous for. Our adventurous day ends as we get back to the hotel to sleep.

Note: In case exhaustion makes you unable to get back to Goosfandsara, it’s possible to spend the night at the hut.

Day 06 : Kashan , Isfahan

Drive to Kashan

Waking up at 10 in the morning after getting enough sleep the previous night, we have breakfast and pack our bags and say our goodbyes to Damavand and drive to Kashan city.

Kashan is a popular tourist destinations in Iran and attracts a large number of tourists each year. Kashan has a 7000 year history and we will visit the beautiful UNESCO REGISTERED SITE ( Fin Garden ) during our stay. Also we will visit both Tabatabai and Boroojerdi House, outstanding examples of upmarket historical houses typical of Kashan.Then we Leaving Kashan and your overland journey continues in Isfahan. As the 17th-century capital of the Safavid Empire, Isfahan was one of the world’s greatest cities– architecturally striking, wealthy beyond imagine, and politically powerful with Europeans, Ottomans, Indians, and Chinese coming to its court– the heart of a vast Persian Empire that stretched from the Euphrates River in present-day Iraq to the Oxus River in Afghanistan. Indeed, its grandeur inspired the rhyming proverb, Isfahan nesf e jahan (Isfahan is half of the World). 

Together with your expert guide, you will begin your exploration of the city by visiting some of the centuries-old, still elegant bridges that span Zayandeh River. The 14th-century Shahrestan Bridge, for example, evokes the greatest aqueducts of ancient Rome and is the oldest bridge in Iran. Other famous bridges on Zayandeh River are Sio-ce-pol and Khaju. There are sluice gates below the bridge to let the water runoff Zayandeh River in the spring, and there are beautiful stone archways above each gate. These archways provide a great acoustic place for every man who wants to sing. You can always find a man or a group of men singing under the bridge. Day 07: Isfahan

Sightseeing : Imam Square (Naghshe Jahan Square) Ali Qapu Palace , Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque , Shah Mosque and Isfahan Grand Bazaar and Chehel setoon Palace

As the 17th-century capital of the Safavid Empire, Isfahan was one of the world's greatest cities architecturally striking, wealthy beyond imagination, and politically powerful with Europeans, Ottomans, Indians, and Chinese coming to its court– the heart of a vast Persian Empire that stretched from the Euphrates River in present-day Iraq to the Oxus River in Afghanistan. Indeed, its grandeur inspired the rhyming proverb, Isfahan nesf e jahan (Isfahan is half of the World). Imam Square of Isfahan is one of the largest city squares in the world and Built by Shah Abbas I the Great at the beginning of the 17th century. This amazing site  in 1979 was designated a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Must see this place. Imam square is surrounded by important historical buildings from the Safavid era. The Shah Mosque is situated on the south side of this square. On the west side, you can find Ali Qapu Palace. Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque is situated on the eastern side of this square and the northern side opens into the Isfahan Grand Bazaar. They are an impressive testimony to the level of social and cultural life in Persia during the Safavid era. Afterward we will visit Chehel Sotoun, literally meaning forty columns, is a royal pavilion that was built by Shah Abbas I as a place to receive ambassadors and international guests. Day 08 : Yazd

Sightseeing : Zurkhaneh and Amir Chakhmagh Square

We take up our tour by travel to the historical and UNESCO REGISTERED CITY OF YAZD . In the evening we will visit zurkhaneh. It is a combination of martial arts, strength training and music. Way before bodybuilding, Persians used to practice weightlifting in Zoorkhaneh. We can see this tradition present in ancient Iranian stories too. Afterward we visit Amir chakhmagh square. Day 09: Yazd

Sightseeing : Jameh mosque of Yazd , Fahadan neighborhood , Alexandra Prison , Dowlat Abad Garden , Excursion in the city 

In the morning we drive to visit the Fahadan neighborhood and walk through the old part of the city and enjoy in this magnificent mud brick city.We start by visiting Jameh mosque of Yazd and walking through narrow alleys to arrive to Alexandra Prison then we will visit some beautiful shops ,Art house and factories in the way then we will have a lunch and after that we will visit Dowlat Abad Garden, one of the ninth PERSIAN GARDENS registered in UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES.Evening is on your leisure. Day 10: Shiraz

Sightseeing: Persepolis and Necropolis (Naghsh -e Rostam) Quran Gate 

After leaving Yazd city ,we move to the historical and beautiful city of Shiraz,a city from ancient times. On the way to Shiraz we will visit the magnificent UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE of Achaemenids Palaces and carvings of Naghsh-e- Rostam to get acquaintance with the Persian Empire, and Persian Civilization and History. Persepolis founded by Darius I in 518 B.C. Persepolis was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire. The importance and qualityof the monumental ruins make it a unique archaeological site. In the evening we will visit the Quran gate and check in the hotel. Stay overnight in Shiraz.

Day 11 : Shiraz

Sightseeing : Nasir al Mulk Mosque , Naranjestan Garden and Zand Complex

After breakfast, you will visit Nasir-al-Mulk Mosque (Pink Mosque) and Naranjestan Garden which is few steps far from Vakil Bazaar. It was built in the Qajar era, it took 12 years to complete it in 1888. Its interior reveals a magnificent masterpiece of design with stunning colors. This is a space where light and worship intertwine. The mosque comes to life with the sunrise and the colors dance throughout the day like whirling Dervishes. It reflects on the ground, walls, the arches and the towering spires. It even reflects on the visitors as if a colorful ball is hit by the first sun ray and has exploded into thousands of butterflies all around. Continue your exploration in Shiraz at the beautiful orange-scented Narenjestan Garden, laid out in the 19th century during the Qajar Dynasty. Then, you will visit Karim Khan Citadel which was built during the Zand Dynasty. Today in the evening we will be presented how to cook an Iranian cuisine called Kalam Polow. 

In this tour, we will take you to the house of an Iranian family to have dinner with them. There, you can sit and chat and have pleasant moments with your hosts. Also you will listen to Iranian music. And, you will be presented with some different Iranian dishes to have as your dinner. However, if you are interested in learning Iranian recipes, you can join the lady of the house to learn methods and tricks to cook Persian food. After dinner, you can help the house lady to clean the table. Finally, after having been served with Iranian tea.

Day 12 : Yasouj /Sisakht 

Drive to Yasouj (150 km), stay at city and get fresh and then drive to Sisakht (30 km). Stay in Sisakht and get rest for start climbing at early morning.


Day 13 : Dana Peak

After breakfast in the morning trek to foothills of Dena, It takes 4 or 5 hours trekking in a beautiful nature to reach the Dahl is amazing to see landscape of Dena mountain, then we will return to Sisakht to have a short rest then move to shiraz.Stay overnight in Shiraz.


Day 14: Shiraz or Tehran


Our tour finish and you will depart Iran, the land of warmth and hospitality with fond memories. We transfer you to Shiraz International airport ( Shahid Dastghaib International airport ) to depart Iran or we can transfer you to Tehran to depart.
